Join us to work for climate justice – where those most affected by the crisis are part of the solutions, those that pollute the most take responsibility, and people and planet come before profit.

Oxfam, CAN International, ActionAid Denmark, Recourse and Natural Justice are working together to support our implementing partners, communities, networks and movements around the globe to strengthen grassroots movements, secure fair climate finance, support just local adaptation, and drive a rights-based transition to renewable energy for all.

To maintain and build this work we seek funding partnerships with like-minded organizations so that together we Act For Climate Justice.

Act for Climate Justice offers a comprehensive and scalable platform to deliver justice-oriented climate action that is bold, systemic, and led by those most affected. Our work is based on four building blocks.

Supporting Local Adaptation to Build Resilience

We promote locally-led adaptation by supporting community-based strategies to strengthen resilience and reduce vulnerabilities. This includes nature-based solutions, food sovereignty, and securing the rights and knowledge of local communities in the face of rising climate risks.

Advancing a Just Energy Transition

We work for equitable energy systems that prioritize energy access for all, community ownership, and sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels. Our focus is on shifting power in energy decision-making and ensuring that transitions are just, gender-responsive, and grounded in the needs of workers and communities.

Mobilizing Climate Finance for Fair Climate Action

We work to increase and redirect climate finance flows flows, ensuring that resources reach local actors and are used for adaptation, loss and damage, and just transition. We advocate for fair and progressive taxation, debt justice, and ambitious public finance while holding financial institutions accountable.

Strengthening Movements for Climate Justice

We invest in grassroots organizing, cross-movement solidarity, and safe civic space for those that stand up for climate justice – with a focus on underrepresented groups, especially youth, Indigenous peoples, – and frontline communities. This includes movement infrastructure, leadership development, and care-centered organizing approaches.
